About the Event

Adding VFX to your indie film can add cinematic value to your movie. It can allow you to create locations you can’t afford to rent for filming. You can create characters and creatures that would be impractical or difficult to film. The advancement of technology has made VFX affordable for low-budget movies but if you don’t know how effectively combine live-action and VFX in your film you can actually devalue your movie, making it look cheesy and flat. Darion D’Angou is going to share tips and best practices when working with a VFX artist or if you are planning on doing VFX yourself.

Darion is an award-winning writer, director, and VFX supervisor based in Atlanta, GA. He has done short and feature-length narrative films with a focus on science fiction, action, thriller, and horror.
